Renaissance chamber music in London

Schola Assumptionis is a chamber choir of approximately ten to sixteen voices dedicated to the sacred polyphonic music of the Renaissance period. We perform works by composers including Tallis, Byrd and Palestrina.

Concert at Warwick Street, 2009We are amateur singers but endeavour to sing to professional standards and perform repertoire which is usually the preserve of professional choirs. Find out more about our leader and how we have grown.

We sing liturgically at various Anglican and Roman Catholic churches across London. We also perform concerts once or twice per year. Admission is free of charge to all Schola Assumptionis events but we often take a voluntary collection at our concerts to benefit local charities.

If you are a confident singer, find out how to join us. We are always looking for churches interested in hosting a Schola Assumptionis event.
